Lasers for sun damage, pigment, scars and redness

New Image Works runs the Sciton platform at every location and the full Fotona 4D system in Miami. Different lasers solve different problems, and the one you read about on Instagram may not be the one your skin needs. That is what the consultation sorts out.

Lasers at New Image Works

Sciton Moxi

The gateway laser. Non-ablative fractional resurfacing with a long weekend of downtime, aimed at early sun damage, dullness and uneven tone. Popular with people in their thirties who want maintenance rather than a reset. Face, or face and neck.

BBL Hero and BBL Forever Young

Broadband light for brown spots, broken capillaries and rosacea flushing. Hero covers large areas fast, which makes chest and arms practical. Forever Young is the long game: run it consistently and the published research shows skin that ages more slowly than it should.

Sciton Halo

A hybrid laser that fires ablative and non-ablative wavelengths in the same pass, so you get real resurfacing depth without the recovery of a full ablative treatment. This is the one for texture, pore size and older sun damage.

Fotona 4D, Miami only

Four passes, two wavelengths, inside the mouth and out. It tightens from underneath rather than resurfacing the top, so it comes with almost no downtime. The same platform runs LipLase, NightLase for snoring, SmoothEye and TightSculpting.

ProFractional and laser hair removal

ProFractional is the deep option for acne scarring and true wrinkle etching. Forever Bare handles hair removal across full body. Both are workhorses rather than headliners, and both are why people stop buying products that were never going to work.

Questions people actually ask

Which laser is right for brown spots?

Usually BBL, sometimes Moxi, occasionally both in the same session. Pigment responds to light differently depending on how deep it sits and what caused it, so melasma and simple sun spots do not take the same plan.

How much downtime should I book?

Moxi is two to four days of sandpaper texture. BBL is a day or two of coffee-ground darkening as spots lift. Halo and ProFractional are a genuine week. Fotona 4D is close to none.

Can I have laser treatment with a tan?

No, and please do not try to hide it. Treating tanned skin risks burns and pigment change. Wait two to four weeks after sun exposure, then come in.

How many sessions will I need?

Most protocols run three sessions spaced about a month apart, so packages here are priced in threes. Single sessions are available if you want to see how your skin reacts first.

Does it hurt?

Topical numbing is standard. Most people describe BBL as a rubber band snap and Moxi as heat. Nobody enjoys it. Everybody gets through it.

Next you might want skin rejuvenation, which is the category most often combined with this one. To see where treatment happens, every clinic has its own page with hours, parking and photographs.
